Youth Environmental Education Confernce
Advertising
Time Out says
Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful hosts an annual Youth Environmental Education Conference for both high school and college students from Hillsborough County. This full day of learning offers these youth current information on ecological issues, and lets them know about the opportunities available to engage more actively in the environmental health of their community. Guest speakers and environmental partners provide presentations on ecological issues facing our local area. These presentations are designed to not only inspire a “call to action” with attendees, but to offer practical advice on how to act. Topics on different aspects of environmental sustainability include water, energy, food/agriculture, and sustainable development. During lunch, we invite students to attend an Enviro-Expo. Environmental partners will display their educational outreach materials to share their message with all participants. This conference is designed to inspire a culture of environmentally minded citizens and better prepare these young leaders for the future.
