The Service Collective is Brooklyn's only organization dedicated to fostering youth community engagement through volunteer service. This holiday season, the nonprofit is inviting all to spread cheer with acts of service.
On December 1, The Service Collection will be popping up at Time Out Market New York, Dumbo, for an evening of giving back. In support of Vinegar Hill Food Pantry’s Giving Tree at the DUMBO Tree Lighting, participants will be creating heartfelt holiday cards and ornaments for homebound seniors at Heights and Hills, a program that promotes successful aging in Brooklyn. All ages are welcome to participate (ages 13-plus may come without a guardian).
For even more holiday cheer, the market is also hosting a clothing drive (from November 24 to December 26) in conjunction with Spread Love Brooklyn.
Entry is free; the only ask is to bring nonperishable foods to donate to Vinegar Hill Food Pantry. Participants will to finish registration via The Service Collective's website.
