Ever wanted your ravioli to be made by a chef no larger than the ravioli itself? Until December 26, Eco Farm Café 632 in Harajuku is hosting an event called Small Chef, featuring an army of little chefs (not real chefs, but projection-mapped ones, rather) who will whip up your food right in front of you. Much like 'Le Petit Chef', the 3D mapping project by artist collective SkullMapping (see video below), the miniature chef will appear on your table after you place your order and by the time he's finished his cooking performance, your food will be ready to eat – for real. The menu will include a Winter Greens and Herb Salad, Steamed Grouper and Caviar with Shrimp Ravioli, Aged Tajima Beef Steak, and an Almond Milk Ice Cream with Apple Compote. Sound expensive? It probably should be, but for this limited-time event, everything (even drinks) is free!

However, there are a few catches: reservations must be made 10 days before the day you want to attend, which means you only have until December 16 to reserve a spot, since it ends on December 26. Also, places are limited so if they receive a large number of reservations, selection will be on a lottery basis. Finally, the reservation page is in Japanese! Still, could be worth a shot?

Here are a few more details to help you out on the reservation site:

Time slots: Lunch 11am-1pm and 2.30pm-4.30pm, dinner 6pm-8pm.
Each table is for two, and each seating is for a maximum of 16.
Location: Eco Farm Café 632
Price: Free
Restrictions: Must be 20 or older

Reservations can be made here.
