The latest edition of our most popular city guide, 88 things to do in Tokyo, has reportedly been a little hard to get a hold of these days – in fact, turns out the last print run had completely ran out across Tokyo. We’re back with a vengeance now though, as the fourth edition of the paper map is now available on shelves all over the city. And if you’re reading this outside of Tokyo or simply can’t be bothered to pick up a physical copy, we’ve made the entire guide available online as well.

As always, cooperating with the crack hotel concierges at Les Clefs d’Or Japan, we’ve put together a packed list of essential things to do in the world’s greatest city. This time around, new additions include Harajuku’s wondrously OTT Kawaii Monster Cafe, the pedestrian walkway on the Tokyo Bay-crossing Gate Bridge, and much much more.

We've also come out with a new version of our Ginza guide: 50 best shops in Ginza is your companion to the finest retail establishments in Tokyo's centre of luxury, including everything from high-end boutiques, malls and time-honoured craft purveyors to offbeat souvenir shops and trendy 'select stores'. Fill up your wallet, grab a copy of our guide and get ready to spend – shopping in Tokyo has never been more convenient (or more addictive).

As always, both guides are available for free at distribution points across the city, from the Shibuya Station Tourist Information Centre to bars, shops and major hotels, while you can of course also pick up your copy at our very own Time Out Café & Diner in Ebisu, or order directly from our Map Store (subject to availability).
