If you haven't yet heard of Domo, he's the little boxy, saw-toothed character that serves as mascot for NHK, and he's been quietly gathering a global fanbase. Now, local fans are getting a chance to immerse themselves his world as the Domo Diner has taken over Village Vanguard Diner at Lumine Yokohama.

Covered in Domo-related goods from wall to wall, the pop-up diner will be around until March 9. Unfortunately you can't actually buy any of the stuffed toys, keychains and other character merchandise on display, but you can eat a cheesy Domo burger for ¥1,992 (it's surprisingly tasty, with a touch of apple sauce giving it a unique flavour) and a ‘Pudding al a Domo’ for ¥842.

Really want that Domo tote bag? Head to Village Vanguard on the 4th floor where you can buy a range of T-shirts, bags, iPhone6 cases and other original goods. If you dine at the restaurant and buy over ¥2,000 worth of Domo goods at Village Vanguard, you’ll get a free ‘Domo art mask’. Do it for the kids?
