A video project documenting daily life in the capital and shining a spotlight on superb spots all across town, Tokyo Talk started out back in 2016 by highlighting clips of international Tokyoites banging the drum for their favourite places in the city.

Now, after two successful seasons of short capital stories – around 80 clips in total – Tokyo Talk has undergone a wholesale transformation. In addition to the familiar 15-30-second videos, re-titled Tokyo Talk Stories, the site now features a much flashier layout, all sorts of fun, and, in the near future, a selection of longer, more documentary-like clips themed on individuals working in the fields of innovation, business and culture in Tokyo.

The first new Story sees one Tokyoite talk about Chofu’s charms and the perks of living away from central Tokyo, while next week’s clip is set to highlight Takadanobaba as the perfect destination for a pint on a hot summer day. A total of 30 new Stories are set to be released by March 2018, so don’t forget to keep checking back for updates.

Check out the new Tokyo Talk now and discover how diverse of a city Tokyo really is.
