Team Japan's trailblazing performance at the ongoing Rugby World Cup made the world stand up and take notice, while also igniting something of a media circus around the 'Brave Blossoms' back here at home. Making things even more exciting is obviously the fact the next World Cup – scheduled for September and October 2019 – will be held in Japan. Aiming to build on the current momentum and make a timely case for the big event, Team PR Japan is taking on London from October 24, inviting rugby fans from all over the world to take a look at where they'll be headed four years from now.

Taking place over a week outside London's QEII Centre, 'Presenting Japan' sees artists, athletes, tech folks, craftspeople, chefs and a bunch of other creatives hold – yes – presentations on six overarching topics, from washoku to social innovation. Making the case for Japanese ideas, innovations and creativity will be the likes of professor Takeo Funabiki, a regular contributor to our 'Transcreating Tokyo' article series, and Time Out Group International Director Tim Webb, plus Daichi Suzuki, the newly appointed head of the Japan Sports Agency, illustrator extraordinaire Yoshitaka Amano and ceramic artist Kazuya Ishida.

Visitors can also look forward to live painting performances, judo workshops and demonstrations of cutting-edge robot tech, of course combined with servings of Japanese food, green tea and sake. If you're in London over the coming week, make sure to stop by and say hi – as official media partners of the event, Time Out Tokyo will also be boasting a strong presence at the event.
