The latest edition of our most popular city guide, 88 things to do in Tokyo, has reportedly been a little hard to get a hold of these days – in fact, turns out the last print run had completely ran out across the city. We’re back with a vengeance now though, as the fifth edition of the paper map is now available on shelves all over the city.

As always, cooperating with the crack hotel concierges at Les Clefs d’Or Japan, we’ve put together a packed list of essential things to do in the world’s greatest city. New additions include the shop that sells an eight-layer soft serve for only at ¥490 at Nakano Broadway, a Shinjuku ramen joint where your noodles come topped with roast beef, newly opened shopping havens like Beams Japan and much much more.

Our oldest and ever-popular guide to Shibuya has had a facelift as well. While including must-go venues like the Scramble crossing, we've covered a wide range of great things to do, from food and shopping to the finest music venues in Tokyo's buzziest 'hood. Check out new club Contact to soak in the best sounds, Brazilian restaurant Tucano's for hot and sweaty samba shows and so on.

As always, both guides are available for free at distribution points across the city, from the Shibuya Station Tourist Information Centre to bars, shops and major hotels, while you can of course also pick up your copy at our very own Time Out Café & Diner in Ebisu, or order directly from our Map Store (subject to availability).
