Colorido, the animation studio behind the anime 'Typhoon Noruda' (2015), finally released the long awaited sequel to their ‘Fastening Days’ anime series on August 1. Backed by the popular Japanese zipper company, YKK Group, the first installment of the series was released on YouTube back in 2014, reaching more than 3,000,000 views.

Helmed by Hiroyasu Ishida – who won an award for his anime 'Fumiko’s Confession' at the 2010 Japan Media Arts Festival – 'Fastening Days 2' follows Yoji and Kay, who utilise contraptions and gadgets made from zippers as they restore order in this short episode. To familiarise yourself with this weird premise, we suggest watching the original episode here, which has a modest running time of 11 minutes.

If you're wondering who is behind the catchy theme songs 'Hold Your Hand' and 'Cling Cling', it's the three gals pictured below, aka the popular Japanese girl band Perfume. Happy watching and have a zippy day! (sorry)
