Time Out says

This Golden Week, Yokohama’s seaside neighbourhood Minato-Mirai is hosting an outdoor cinema at four different locations. At the Marine & Walk Yokohama, a five-day-long event will feature five films that had limited release at mini theatres, including the Academy Award-nominated ‘Little Women’, French film ‘Summer of 85’ by Francois Ozon and the movie adaptation of David Byrn’s Broadway show ‘American Utopia’. The screenings are free, but you must register in advance to reserve a spot. Unfortunately, all tickets have been redeemed.

Nearby, over at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, the focus will be on Japanese anime series ‘Evangelion’. Depending on whether you want box seats, reclining chairs or couple seats that come with a drink, a show can cost anywhere from ¥700 to ¥2,200 per person. Tickets must be purchased through the website.

The nearby World Porters shopping mall will be the only location set up as a drive-in theatre, screening kid-friendly films like ‘Encanto’ and ‘The Boss Baby 2: Family Mission’. A parking spot for one car per screening costs ¥3,300, and tickets are available on the website from April 15.

Right next to Yokohama Station is Bay Quarter, which will screen four Spiderman films. You’ll need to purchase a ¥500 ticket online, but it comes with a ¥500 voucher you can use at one of the facility’s restaurants and cafés.
