Tickets for this two-day camping and music festival from the creators of Fuji Rock normally get snapped up almost immediately, but they've been selling surprisingly slowly this year. That's probably less a result of post-March 11 malaise than the simple fact that the weather was rubbish at last year's event – though when the sun's shining on Asagiri Arena, with Mt. Fuji looming over the horizon, there are few nicer places to be. Asagiri Jam is a compact affair, with just two stages and as much emphasis on the camping as the music itself, though there are a few big guns this time around. DJ Shadow headlines on the Saturday night, unleashing cuts from new album The Less You Know, The Better, and they've got Afrobeat all-stars Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 followed by feelgood folk-rockers Soul Flower Union on the Sunday. Club kids are catered for by Joker, Larry Heard, DJ Scratchy and a host of others on the second stage. See below for full lineup.
