Liquidroom 15th Anniversary Takkyu Ishino／DJ Nobu

Iconic Ebisu venue Liquidroom is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a packed lineup of parties, including this eagerly anticipated showdown between two true Japanese techno titans. Takkyu Ishino has had an outsize impact on the local scene for the better part of three decades now, initially together with Pierre Taki and company as part of Denki Groove and later as an innovative solo artist. Founder of the legendary Wire nights and a staple at top festivals both in Japan and further afield, Ishino will be joined by Future Terror headman DJ Nobu, whose diverse talents have in recent years finally started winning him wide-ranging recognition abroad. Having emerged from the Chiba hardcore scene, Nobu has managed to balance on the cutting edge of electronic music for longer than many of his newer fans have been alive. If there's one techno bash you should attend in 2019, it's this one.
