Yokohama Otomatsuri 2016

Yokohama Otomatsuri 2016

Having started life in 2013, this celebration of all things musical returns to Yokohama in autumn for its second edition and aims to excite all comers, regardless of nationality, gender, age or cultural background. Things kick off with two star-studded opening concerts, one featuring the IlluminArt Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Tomomi Nishimoto and the other a 'premium symphonic' performance headed by rock great and Anzen Chitai frontman Koji Tamaki, while other highlights include 'Music in the Dark', a show conducted in complete darkness and aiming to raise awareness of how the blind experience music. You'll also want to keep your eyes on the programme before the main festival starts, as there'll be plenty of warm-up events going on between May 1 and September 21.
