The ever more ubiquitous consumer drone, gimbal and action camera brand DJI has made its way into Japan’s mainstream with its first-ever concept store in the country. Opened in Tokyo on October 31, the store spans two floors in the heart of the Omotesando-Aoyama area, with a broad line-up of products on display.

Visitors can get hands-on with DJI’s latest aerial photography drones at the in-store flight cage, or switch on the handheld cameras and gimbals to try filming for themselves. Upstairs, the Hasselblad area offers a more premium experience, complete with a lounge and consultation booth for expert advice and support.

There’s also a print gallery showcasing images captured with Hasselblad’s medium-format digital cameras, highlighting their impressive tonal range and fine detail.

For those feeling lost, specialist staff are on hand across both floors to help with purchases and product support, with assistance available in Japanese, English and Chinese. Whether you’re looking to pick up some new tech tax-free while in Japan or need a hand setting up your Osmo Pocket for your travel vlogs, this is the place to go. It’s arguably a lot easier to get to than DJI’s Toranomon store, too.
