One of the most sought after sweet gifts in Japan is the unique KitKat that comes in a host of wild and wacky flavours. To make these tasty treats even more appealing, Nestlé has teamed up with Sanrio to release a brand new KitKat flavour that features all your favourite Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin on the packaging.

This new flavour, strawberry milk, will be available while stocks last in stores and supermarkets across Japan from Monday April 1

Priced at ¥685, this special KitKat comes in eight different Sanrio-designed packages. Each package contains ten individually wrapped mini KitKats and there are 28 designs of the mini wrappers, each  adorned with a different Sanrio character. The designs in each pack are random, so you’ll never know what’s inside.

As a cute touch, the individually wrapped KitKats also feature encouraging messages in Japanese like 'I love you', 'I'll cheer you up’ and ‘I’m rooting for you!’.
