Everyone's favourite Japanese stationery and home store is getting a major upgrade. Come spring 2019, Tokyo will finally have its very own Muji Hotel following both Shenzhen and Beijing who already count the hotel in their cities. Located in Ginza, the hotel building will also be home to the new Muji world flagship store plus a Muji Diner for the foodies.

Eager Muji fans can look forward to eating and staying in Muji's sleek interiors and buying into the brand's signature minimalist, convenient and Zakka-inspired lifestyle. A fresh salad bar and tea area are slated to be available on the dining floor, plus a Muji Atelier will be added to the sixth floor where you can visit exhibition galleries and a lounge space for various workshops.

As of now, the Muji location closest to Ginza is the one in Yurakucho, but it will be closing on December 2, 2018. In the meantime, shoppers can head over to the temporary Muji pop-up store which will be located in Marronnier Gate Ginza 2 shopping complex until the new hotel building is complete.

So when does it open? Mark your calendars for April 4, 2019 as the entire complex is slated to open in early April.
