Fans of Tokyo’s two Disney parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, are already used to ticket price adjustments every few years. This is, however, the highest increment yet at ¥700 per ticket, effective April 1 2020.

The one-day pass for the respective parks will change from ¥7,500 (children aged 12-17 ¥6,500) to a whopping ¥8,200 (¥6,900). However, tickets for children aged 4-11 will remain the same at ¥4,900.

The Starlight Passport, which is valid on weekends and holidays from 3pm, will cost ¥500 more, effectively raising the price from ¥5,500 to ¥6,000 (children aged 12-17 ¥5,100, 4-11 ¥3,600). The After 6 Passport is not spared either – a ¥400 increment will bring the ticket price from ¥4,300 to ¥4,700; this ticket is valid for entrance from 6pm on weekdays.

On the bright side, Tokyo Disney parks have added a new ticket category. From April 1, disabled visitors will be able to buy a discounted one-day pass at ¥6,600 (children aged 12-17 ¥5,500, 4-11 ¥3,900).

Here’s a money-saving tip: if you buy your tickets online or at a convenience store by March 31, you can still visit the parks after April 1 at the old pricing.
