If you've been doing some spring cleaning lately, you may have come across an old plushie (or ten – after all, this is Japan) that's seen better days. Instead of throwing your fluffy friend away, send them to one of these super-cute Tokyo toy hospitals for treatment.

Just like a hospital for humans, Natsumi Clinic and Nuigurumi Hospital make sure that each patient is well taken care of with a variety of services, including a comfortable bed to rest in, a warm bath, a face lift, hair treatment and many more. They'll return your stuffed toy as good as new in about a month.

To have your plushie admitted to hospital, you’ll have to fill out an application form on the website. Once you have received confirmation, you can indicate your preferred treatment via another form and send it to the provided address along with the 'sick' stuffed animal. You won’t be able to visit your fluffy companion until they've made full recovery, but an email or blog post will keep you up to date with adorable photos like the ones above.

Admission to the toy hospitals can cost anywhere from ¥7,000 to ¥14,000 for standard-size plushies, which includes all the basic cleaning services. If you’re looking for much more extensive treatments like stuffing replacement, limb replacement or eye surgery, that costs more.

At the moment, all the toy hospital beds seem to be booked out for 2020, so you should apply as soon as possible to get a spot for your plushie. In the meantime, marvel at these astonishing before and after photos – those stuffed animal doctors really are miracle workers.
