The highly anticipated ninth Star Wars episode, 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' – which is also the concluding chapter of the 'Skywalker Saga' – is set to hit the cinemas on December 20. In a lead up to that event, Tokyo's Marunouchi neighbourhood is going all out with Star Wars-themed Christmas festivities, which include a limited-time Star Wars café. The big celebration is called the 'Star Wars Marunouchi Bright Christmas' and it will feature the Rise Crystal Cafe, limited-edition merchandise as well as a host of unique Christmas displays inspired by the film.

The Rise Crystal Cafe is set to take over the Maru Building’s Marunouchi Cafe, offering a special menu with dishes inspired by various Star Wars characters. Expect a Kylo Ren pasta (pictured top) and a holiday wreath taco rice featuring 3-CPO, R2-D2 and BB-8.

Looking for souvenirs? Head over to one of the three pop-up shops scattered around Marunouchi as well as permanent stores including Estnation Yurakucho, Le Dome Edifice and Kamawanu Tenugui – they will all be carrying limited-edition Star Wars merchandise in conjunction with the event.

In terms of the holiday displays, there will be a modern Christmas tree with special light effects inspired by a galaxy far far away, as well as another tree modeled after the Ahch-To island, where Rey meets Luke Skywalker in 'The Last Jedi'. You should also keep an eye out for R2-D2 dressed up as Santa.

Don't miss all the Star Wars festivities from November 7 to December 25, happening around the downtown Marunouchi area. For more details on the Star Wars holiday displays and attractions, including their exact locations, check the official site here
