Sakura Café Asakusa

Located on the first floor of one of Tokyo’s most popular backpacker hostels, Sakura Café Asakusa sits opposite the area’s historic Hanayashiki amusement park and is only a 10-minute walk from the subway station. Even if you’re not staying at the hostel, feel free to drop by and enjoy food and drink options from around the world at the café lounge – think Indonesian nasi goreng (¥500), Spanish jambalaya (¥500), or Italian pasta and pizza specialities (from ¥500). Early birds can also opt for the café’s buffet-style breakfast, available from 4.30am. If you have to catch an early morning flight or just like to start your day super early, you can fuel up on as much toast, soup, coffee and tea as you like for a mere ¥390.
