The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan is sponsoring this week-long event to promote authentic Italian cuisine. During True Italian Pizza Week, pizzerias around Tokyo will be offering special traditional Italian pizzas. Participating restaurants were selected by leading Italian food journalist and pizza aficionado Antonio Fucito, and each one has a certification from the Adesivo di Qualità Italiana, a group dedicated to spreading traditional Italian culinary techniques.
There will be 19 restaurants participating in Tokyo until October 17, including some of the best Naples-style pizza places in town, like Da Giorgio, La Tripletta, Pizzeria Da Peppe Napoli Sta’ Ca’ Komazawa and more.
