Nothing is sacred – or profane – in Joan Cornellà's bizarre world. A well-meaning man donates a condom to a homeless woman saddled with young children; a murderer kills an elderly lady, only to paint her face black and rouse applause from the police; a father administers heroin to his little girl who just lost her balloon. These are just a few of the surreal tales that the Spanish cartoonist can conjure up in a handful of frames.
