Launched in 1994, Neighborhood has grown from a Harajuku streetwear brand into one of Tokyo’s most recognisable names. For its 30th anniversary, the label takes over Laforet Museum with an exhibition that folds together its past and present.
On display are 100 new portraits shot by photographer Osamu Nagahama, compiled into the sequel photo book The Tokyo Hundreds 2. Friends, collaborators and longtime figures in the city’s creative scene make up the cast, tying Neighborhood back to the culture it grew out of. The show also highlights the brand’s long-running ceramic incense chambers, including oversized art editions built for the anniversary.
