Time Out says

While enjoying the champagne-gold illuminations along Marunouchi Naka-dori street, drop by this small Christmas market run by luxury hotel The Peninsula Tokyo. Shop for popular Christmas sweets from around the world, including Italian baci di dama sandwich cookies, British mince pies as well as date-filled ma'amoul cookies from the Middle East.

On Saturdays, Sundays and December 23, children can learn how to decorate gingerbread houses at the on-site workshops held twice a day from 3pm and 5pm. The hotel’s executive pastry chef Pascal Cialdella and his colleagues are in charge of the workshops and will teach the kids everything from icing to whipped cream decoration techniques. The participation fee is ¥5,800 per person and reservations are required.

What’s more, on December 17, 18 and 23 to 25 at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm, the hotel’s adorable bear mascot Peter will make an appearance, while a kids’ choir will perform Christmas songs on December 23 to 25 at 5.30pm and 6.30pm. On December 24 between 6pm and 6.30pm, visitors can even pick up a free cup of hot chocolate or mulled wine.

The Christmas market opens daily from 12noon to 6pm, until 8pm between December 17 and 25.
