Time Out says

It's that time of the year again – our annual year-end bonenkai and Christmas party takes over Time Out Café & Diner in Ebisu with a packed programme of tunes, food and booze. The lineup has now been finalised, and you can look forward to appearances by singer-songwriter Kensuke Ide, trailblazing DJ duo Soi48, 'wamono' party ambassador Chinbanteigoraku Shisho, Ei Wada's Braun Tube Jazz Band and party DJ duo Dramaticboys.

Ide and Soi48 (aka Keiichi Utsuki and Shinsuke Takagi) will be teaming up for a certifiably groovy collab show themed on music from Thailand's Isan region, while indomitable oldies spinner Shisho is set to break out the disco records alongside Miyu from up-and-coming tap dance unit Meforyouforme.

Ei Wada, winner of an Excellence Prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2009, is best known as the leader of the Open Reel Ensemble, who conjure live dance music from vintage reel-to-reel tape recorders. But as Braun Tube Jazz Band, he works his sonic alchemy on an array of old television sets, making for an audiovisual spectacle you really need to see live.

And that's not all: in joyful news for boozehounds, our all-you-can-drink sake special will be back again, with five varieties of nihonshu from Nagano, Miyagi, Yamagata and Kochi available for a laughable ¥1,000 (single shots ¥500).
