Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor [AWC] is a CAISH certification program, a pre-requisite for both Advanced Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor (AAWC) and Ayurvedic Panchakarma Therapist (APT) programs.

The Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor is an intermediate 6-month course for students who wish to learn Ayurvedic anatomy and physiology, causes and stages of diseases nutrition-lifestyle, herbal theory and practices for maintaining health and preventing disease.

Upon completion, the program will provide students with an Ayurvedic approach in assessment and counselling. Note that the AWC program does not focus on Ayurvedic hands-on panchakarma therapies.

Students will be given a trio of in-depth knowledge of Ayurvedic methods of assessments: observation, questioning and palpation. The focus of these assessment methods will be on pulse, nails, tongue, eye-reading, history taking, and questioning. along with appropriate skills for observations.

The Ayurvedic Wellness Counsellor training, based on the assessments, will strengthen general learning and provide methods for psycho-spiritual counselling.

- Elements (panchmahabuta), qualities(guna) and senses(indriyas)
- Insights and identification of Prakriti-Vikriti (unique constitution &state of imbalance)
- Doshas and Sub-doshas - their physiological & psych- emotional influences on our state of balance
- Concept of Agni (digestive fire) and Ama (toxins) in role of digestion and manifestation of disease
- Ayurvedic Anatomy and physiology of the 7 Dhatus and Srotas
- Learning how to determine the imbalance states of dosha and their manifestations on various levels.
- Practical application of Ayurvedic Nutrition and Lifestyle.
- Ayurvedic herbs, herbal preparations and proper uses.
- Trivital methods of mind-body dosha assessments in balance & imbalance state
