Small World Music Society says
noun ~ the merging of bodies, hearts and souls, especially toward union on the dancefloor

On the heels of a truly inspiring December party, Globetrotter soars into our 2nd year with a sense of celebration and pride in the spirit of cooperation that continues to flourish in our fair city.

In honour of the diversity of music and dancefloor communities working together to create spaces for conscious revelry, we've invited some fellow DJ & promoter friends onboard. Lovelution's J ROY and SUMA's KRISTIAN SUNFLOWER are set to journey us into the possibility of 2017, alongside Small World Music Society's resident MEDICINEMAN and the decor wonder of Calabra.

$10 cover all night :)

MEDICINEMAN ~ Resident Globetrotter
Richard ‘medicineman’ Martin is one of Canada's most highly respected global fusion tastemakers. His radio show, NO MAN’S LAND, on CIUT 89.5 FM, is considered to be one of the best programs of its kind and has been instrumental in broadening the world music landscape for the past 18 years. He has earned a loyal throng of fans who crave a connection between ancient rhythms & progressive beats.

J ROY ~ Lovelution
A maestro of music for the mind, body, & soul. With roots in a multitude of genres that span many decades and continents, J Roy knows there’s not a problem that he can’t fix, cuz he can do it in the mix. For his Globetrotter debut, J Roy plans to guide a groove-heavy excursion inspired by African & South American tastemakers.

A co-founder of SUMA, local eco-friendly arts & music collective, Kristian has been DJing professionally in the Toronto scene and Canadian festival circuit for the last 15 years, and has opened for artists such as Ott, Phutureprimitive, Kaminanda and Kalya Scintilla. His dancefloor sets feature globally-infused deep tribal rhythms that will move your root chakra.

CALABRA ~ Resident Decor
The work of this design team is nothing short of spectacular. Calabra has been at the forefront of venue decor, working for many of the city's finest promoters and festivals. They are dedicated to transforming spaces into environments that visually inspire, with an emphasis on unique thematic connections that compliment and enhance the specifics and nature of the event setting.
