SMOMID (https://www.smomid.com)
Brooklyn based elecxtronic instrument builder Nick Demopoulos brings his Smomid project to Toronto. Playing one of his unique midi based string instrument hybrids, Smomid creates glitchy electronic soundscapes. Scatterted beats & bloops dance & squirm over layers of electronic pulses and drones. Haunting outer plantary sounds create a soundtrack for some intergalatic chill zone. Smomid's sonic versatility is as much a product of the instrument, as it is the mind of it's creator. Don't miss this rare & bizarre preformance.

FAKE HUMANS (http://mechanicalforestsound.blogspot.ca/2016/03/recording-fake-humans.html)
Colin Fisher (Not The Wind, Not The Flag, etc) & Carl Didur (Zacht Automaat) team up for what sounds like some haunting 1970's film score, to a movie set in space, where all the main characters are pretty much trapped up there & are just waiting to die, but are doing so in a very relaxed & peaceful way. Swinging in a lackadaisical manner, Fake Humans pull obvious influence from Alice Coltrane. A spiritual calm embs through their psych laced compositions.

BEN OGINZ (https://benoginz.bandcamp.com)
Formerly known as Mystic Triangle, Mimico member Ben Oginz steps out under his own name. Unvieling a new set of music that takes his penchant for kraut inspired synth compositions and morphs it into an array of instrumental atomospheric pieces taking notes from sweeping cinametic language. Winter music zone!
