Hey There, Friends and Foes!

The Bellows is BACK with an all-new panel and event at an all-new venue! TPM has a load-in (arts life!) so this month we're meeting at The Central in Mirvish Village, and I can't think of a better place to spark a conversation on the beer economy.

If you haven't heard me rant about it often enough, the "beer economy" is how I describe favours-based arts work; for example, all those times a friend or arts company has asked you to work in exchange for beer, a credit, a future favour, etc. We're bringing to you our customary quality panel of arts professionals to not only argue both sides of that coin, but also to advise how to decide which asks are good asks and which ones are taking advantage.

If this isn't enough of an inducement to bring you in, allow me to also point out that this Bellows is THE RETURN OF PIP from her five month adventure with actors and tractors in Blyth, ON. Come raise a pint to her and welcome her back to the hustle and bustle of the city.

Yours in production,

Maya Rabinovitch, of Steady State Theatre
Julia Nish-Lapidus, of Shakespeare BASH'D
Christopher Ross, of Theatre Passe Muraille
