You might soon be able to use Facebook for much more than stalking your ex, posting pictures of your pets, complaining about life and reading the news as the tech giant is preparing to launch its very own video slate in the upcoming months.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the social media network will be focusing on two types of video content: "They include shortform series from digital producers such as BuzzFeed and Vox Media and a handful of signature, television-quality series that Facebook is calling 'hero' projects."

As part of the latter category, Facebook is reportedly in talks to revive Nicole Byer's scripted series Loosely Exactly Nicole for a second season, following the show's cancellation on MTV four months ago. The single-camera comedy, which had originally premiered last September, is inspired by Byer's own life.

Interestingly enough, according to Deadline, "Facebook's original scripted efforts are being spearheaded by Mina Lefevre who went to [the company] from MTV where she developed and launched Loosely Exactly Nicole, leaving just before the show was cancelled."

How will Facebook's video plans affect Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, cable television and America's general viewing habits? We'll just have to wait and see.
