Perhaps unsurprisingly given the success of the recently released election-themed reunion video by the cast of Will & Grace, The Hollywood Reporter confirms that NBC is in talks to reboot the show.

"The goal, sources say, is to do a 10-episode limited series revival," according to THR.

Don't scream for joy just yet as NBC and the show's producers, Universal Television, declined to comment on the report and "insiders caution it's extremely early in the talks, and it's unclear if a [...] revival could actually happen."

Starring Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes, the show was a major success throughout its 8 seasons, winning 16 Emmys and earning the stars $600,000 per episode. The series' popularity was reflected in the reaction that September's election-themed video starring the cast earned. Following the release, Messing told THR that she would "never say never" about the chances of a revival.

"Now there are platforms where you can do six or 10 episodes. I don't believe we would ever come back to network [TV] again," she said, fueling speculation that NBC might get outbid for a possible revival. "I think that the logistics of all of our lives—there would just be way too many things to hammer out. But for something shorter-lived and maybe having the limitations of being on network TV lifted may give us a fun, fresh opportunity because we could be really, really naughty!"

McCormack also commented on a possible revival while filming the reunion video. "We're very proud of the series finale and the story that told of the break that friendships sometimes take," he said. "So to play with that and change that story and change our own stories in life, I'm sure we would all be open to talking about it," he said.

Given the great demand for and undoubted success of recent TV show reboots (Gilmore Girls, we're waiting for you), we do feel confident that we'll be seeing much more of Will & Grace (and Jack and Karen) very soon.
