The largest supermoon in 68 years reached its peak this morning at 8:52am EST but was visible around the world starting yesterday. The one of-a-kind event (we won't see a moon this big and close to Earth until November 2034) quickly became an ideal photo op for those marveling at the magnificence of nature.
