While Ted Cruz made headlines by withholding his endorsement for Donald Trump at last night's Republican National Convention, Saturday Night Live's Michael Che spent Wednesday evening trying to "catch the rarest creature of them all: minorities at the RNC." The game was called, appropriately enough, Trumpémon Go.
With his phone in hand and swiping finger ready for action, the Weekend Update co-anchor walked around Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena asking attendees wether they'd seen any "rare minorities." "I've seen some, I guess, Hawaiians," said a woman while Che caught "a Cowbro" and a "black man with a selfie stick."
The game also featured a cartoonish version of Trump reciting the activity's slogan: "Catch 'em all. Get 'em outta here."
