"Welcome to Baywatch," says Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to Zac Efron in the first Baywatch trailer, the movie reboot based on the 1990's TV show.

People's Sexiest Man Alive (an accolade undoubtedly earned thanks, in part, to this film), Johnson stars as head lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (originally played by David Hasselhoff) to Zac Efron's Matt Brody, played by David Charvet in the original series.

The movie is set in Miami and will obviously feature those iconic slow-motion beach runs (in the trailer, Kelly Rohrbach seems to take over Pamela Anderson's role, at least while running on the beach), in addition to a whole lot of fire and explosives.

One thing we wish there was more of in the trailer? That captivating Baywatch theme song that reminds us of afternoons spent watching Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth and Jason Momoa strolling along the beach with those unforgettable red bathing suits on.

Directed by Seth Gordon (of Horrible Bosses), the movie also stars Priyanka Chopra and Alexandra Daddario (Hasselhoff and Anderson are expected to make an appearance as well!) and will hit theaters May 16, 2017.
