United Airlines is making a major play for overseas sun and fun. The carrier just announced a wave of new international routes out of its East Coast hubs, adding new connections to Europe and Asia—including nonstop access to what’s recently been crowned the world’s number one “feel-good destination.”

Starting April 30, 2026, United will begin service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Split, Croatia, making it the only U.S. airline to fly directly to this Adriatic gem. The flight will run three times a week on a Boeing 767-300ER, joining United’s existing Dubrovnik service. Split’s mix of Roman ruins, buzzing waterfront and endless beach clubs has earned it global praise, and now it's easier than ever to get there.

On May 1, United is adding a route to Bari, Italy, another coastal stunner. Four times a week, travelers can head straight to southern Italy’s Puglia region to enjoy luxe seaside hotels, cliffside villages and enough handmade pasta to fuel a summer romance.

United’s European expansion doesn’t stop there. On May 8, it kicks off daily seasonal flights from Newark to Glasgow, Scotland, followed by a May 27 debut of new service to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, three times a week. Both routes will fly on Boeing 737 MAX 8s—perfect for travelers chasing summer festivals or tracing the ancient Camino paths.

Across the Atlantic, United’s global reach stretches even farther. The airline will launch daily flights from Newark to Seoul, South Korea, starting September 4, 2026, on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. And from Washington Dulles (IAD), United’s new daily service to Reykjavik, Iceland.

Between Split’s beachside bliss, Puglia’s coastal calm and Iceland’s surreal landscapes, United’s 2026 map looks like a dream board for travelers craving the world’s best summer vibes. So pack your swimsuit—and your passport—because the next wave of “feel-good” travel is about to take off.
