Looking to try a new restaurant? In culinary hotspots around the country, Amex and Resy are picking up the check at select restaurants in August. The two companies are offering “Dinner on Us-All Month Long” at local, independent restaurants as part of their long-standing support of small businesses.
According to American Express’ 2023 Shop Small Dining Survey, 71% of consumers say that dining at small, local restaurants is important to them. Resy has identified four standout examples of local restaurants—dubbed Tastemakers—in NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, DC and Miami. The month-long campaign "American Express and Shop Small Present: The Resy Tastemakers” is aimed at helping diners rediscover these neighborhood gems.
Starting August 9th, Amex and Resy are hosting dining events in the six cities and will pick up the check, up to $99 per person. How does it work? Reservations for these weekly events (held Wednesdays August 9, 16, 23 and 30) will drop on Mondays at 10am local time at Resy.com/shopsmall or on the Resy app. Reservations are open to all.
