Now is your chance to see the Empire State, from the Adirondacks to Niagara Falls and further afield. Amtrak is having a buy-one-get-one sale, so you can grab your bestie and get ready to explore.

The sale marks the return of Amtrak’s popular New York Midweek Winter Travel promotion. Purchase a full-fare coach ticket by February 28 for travel through February 29 and you’ll get a companion ticket for free. The promotion is available for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only, and you must purchase your ticket at least a day in advance. Otherwise, there are no blackout dates or restrictions.

“New York State has so much to offer as there’s an adventure waiting for you in every region and city whether you want to relax, explore, sightsee, taste or experience the bright lights,” Amtrak Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Eliot Hamlisch said in a statement. “Amtrak can take you there in comfort, and as a Central New York native who knows all about the beauty of the entire state, I look forward to seeing you onboard.”

You can ride the Empire Service, Ethan Allen, Maple Leaf lines, select Associated Thruways lines and—best of all—the picturesque Adirondack line with the deal. Even better, the promotion is valid on the Ethan Allen Express between NYC and Burlington, VT as well as travel between NYC and Montreal.

Take advantage of the sale on Amtrak’s website using the promo code V309.
