The buzz surrounding Carnival Cruise Lines’ Celebration Key is growing as the company has revealed new details about the forthcoming private port in the Bahamas. The exclusive destination will offer guests the opportunity to create the perfect cruise vacation with five distinct portals featuring a variety of experiences.
Set to open in July 2025, Celebration Key is located on the south coast of Grand Bahama Island. It’s the company’s first exclusive port destination, featuring modern, environmentally-conscious facilities that celebrate the beauty and culture of Grand Bahama. Cruise passengers can enjoy a slew of activities, both recreational and relaxing. The port boasts a one-mile stretch of white-sand beach and Bahamian-operated retail, food and beverage options.
Five separate areas called Portals will include distinct offerings and activities. Guests enter through the Welcome Portal, where they’re first introduced to the island's natural beauty. The Family-Friendly Portal is perfect for families with kids of all ages, featuring water slides, a beach and the largest freshwater lagoon in the Caribbean. The Adult-Friendly Portal features a swim-up bar, DJ, floating cabanas and villas with slides into the lagoon. The Private Club portal has an infinity pool and a private beach section. The Retail Portal showcases Bahamian culture and local Bahamian artisans, plus duty-free shops and a variety of food and beverage offerings.
