Are secret supper clubs a thing? You tell your family you’ll be off the grid, turn off Life360, and head to dinner in a black cloak? Apparently, yes! And we’re here to ruin all the fun by telling you all about it. Just don’t tell anyone else.
The Secret Supper company is offering secret supper circle membership, a culinary experience that offers two priority access tickets to “carefully curated events.” These could include a lobster bake in Maine, an olive oil tasting with an Italian maker, and the like. Website images show people sitting to dine at long trestle tables in a sunset meadow in a beautiful, untouched landscape, so it seems like the secret supper club is like joining an extended French family in their typical vineyard dinner.
Only 50-60 guests can participate in each supper, which includes a five-course menu and paired wine, spirits or non-alcoholic options. The suppers take place within a two-hour drive of the stated city (see our list below for the 2024 schedule), and you’ll learn the exact location with four weeks’ advance notice so you can arrange a hotel if needed, especially if you are planning to indulge in the pours. Suppers are open to anyone 21+. Ticket prices run $275 whether you’re a member or not, but members get a discount off extended course suppers, which will launch next year and the first dibs on buying tickets.
Circle members can buy supper tickets before they’re released to the public or even the company’s mailing list. There are only 50 memberships available, so you’ll have to be one of the first to read this article to respond. Membership lasts for a year and will auto-renew; this inaugural year, since it’s already September, the membership will go through 2024. You’ll receive a special (secret!) gift along with membership. The circle membership costs $400.
Disappointingly, there doesn’t seem to be a password.
