Fly to Cancun for as low as $79 with Spirit's latest sale

The airline celebrates 20 years of flying to the beach destination

Thinking about a beach vacation? You can score cheap flights to Cancun with Spirit Airlines’ latest sale.

Spirit is celebrating 20 years of flying between the U.S. and Cancun by offering one-way flights for as low as $79. These limited-time anniversary fares are valid for travel to Cancun International Airport from several cities in the U.S. from February 7 through March 6, 2024. There are no blackout dates, but flights must be booked 21 days in advance.

"For 20 years, we've been pleased to offer our Guests affordable, nonstop service to Cancun, making the popular beach destination more accessible and affordable with the opportunity to save on airfare while enjoying more of Cancun's tourist attractions," said John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines. "We're grateful to Cancun International Airport and our Guests in Southeast Mexico for embracing our business model and trusting us with their travels for the past two decades."

Members of the airline’s Free Spirit loyalty program can also earn 1,500 bonus points on roundtrip flights and 750 points on one-way flights to and from Cancun. Travel must be booked by March 15, 2024, and flown by April 30, 2024.

Flights from Chicago, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, New Orleans and more start at $79 one-way. Fly from Philadelphia for $89 one-way or Baltimore for $129 one-way.

As Spirit celebrates 20 years of flying to Cancun, it’s also expanding service to include the new airport in Tulum, flying from Fort Lauderdale and Orlando starting March 28.
