These airports serve the most nonstop destinations

If you want to get where you’re going, faster, it helps to travel through a well-connected airport hub. Aviation analytics firm Cirium recently revealed a list of the world’s most connected airports. The ranking is based on the number of unique nonstop destinations each airport serves, with data gathered from the first two quarters of 2024.
The 20 most connected airports in the world are also some of the busiest. They include airports in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the U.S. While Istanbul Airport, with 309 nonstop flights to destinations around the world, has been named the best-connected airport in the world, four airports in the U.S. made the list of the top 20.
At number five is Chicago O’Hare Airport, with 270 destinations served. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is at number 6 with 261 connections, followed by Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport at number nine with 237 connections and Denver International Airport at number 11 with 229 connections.
