The world really needs this: Planet Earth star Sir David Attenborough is joining forces with rapper Dave and composer Hans Zimmer in a new special that's specifically designed to lift our spirits during these trying times. Can you think of anything more necessary at the moment?

Planet Earth: A Celebration will feature eight remarkable sequences from already-aired episodes of Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II but the great Attenborough has recorded a brand new narration to go along with the production. In addition to Attenborough's voice, the special will feature re-arranged original compositions by Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea and the Bleeding Fingers as performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra while accompanied by rapper Dave on the grand piano.

Not to spoil the fun, but expect to be delighted by a group of dancing Andean flamingos in Chile, enormous orca and humpback whales in northern Norway and more. The special is scheduled to premiere simultaneously on BBC America, AMC, IFC and SundanceTV on August 31 at 8pm EST.

This isn't Attenborough's only upcoming project. The nature guru is set to voice A Life on Our Planet, a new documentary expected to hit theaters this September (COVID-19 permitting) also featuring scenes from Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II.

Get ready, world. Attenborough is here to save the day.
