New York once again dominates the annual 50 Top Pizza ranking, with Una Pizza Napoletana taking the top spot for the fifth consecutive year.

Americans have spent decades arguing about pizza. New Yorkers swear by thin slices folded in half, Chicago has opinions, California keeps experimenting and New Haven generally insists everyone else is wrong.
Now there's fresh fuel for the debate: the influential Italian guide 50 Top Pizza has released its annual ranking of the best pizzerias in the United States for 2026, crowning New York City's Una Pizza Napoletana as the country's top pizza destination for the fifth year in a row.
The ranking, unveiled during a ceremony in New York City this week, highlights 116 pizzerias across 29 states, with New York once again dominating the pizza conversation. The Empire State landed 27 restaurants in the guide, while California followed with 13 and Florida claimed 10. New York City alone accounted for 24 of the featured pizzerias.
At the top sits Anthony Mangieri's Una Pizza Napoletana in Manhattan, a restaurant that has become something of a pilgrimage site for serious pizza fans. Sharing second place are two West Coast heavyweights: Pizzeria Sei in Los Angeles and Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco. Jersey City's beloved Razza landed in third place, while Dana Point's Truly Pizza rounded out the top four.
Florida also turned in a strong showing, with Miami claiming multiple spots in the upper ranks, including Francesco Martucci at No. 5 and both La Leggenda and 'O Munaciello tying for 11th place.
The guide's judges noted that pizza in the United States continues to evolve rapidly, with greater variety and improving quality appearing across the country. And judging by this year's rankings, excellent pizza is no longer confined to the traditional pizza capitals. Places like Kenmore, Washington; Cleveland, Ohio; Madison, Wisconsin; and Winston-Salem, North Carolina all earned spots near the top of the list.
If you're planning a pizza-focused road trip—or simply looking for ammunition for your next pizza argument—here are the 50 best pizzerias in America right now.
