If you haven’t sorted your stay for the FIFA World Cup 2026 yet, here’s your gentle nudge. The tournament kicks off June 11 across the U.S., Mexico and Canada—and if ticket demand is anything to go by, lodging is already heating up fast.

According to Airbnb, searches for stays in host cities have jumped 80% overall, with Gen Z interest in particular exploding (up 336%). (For procrastinators, this means the good stuff won’t sit around for long.)

To cut through the scroll, Airbnb has rounded up some of its most-loved “Guest Favorite” listings still available near host cities, ranging from practical crash pads near stadiums to full-blown design fantasies.

If proximity is your priority, a few listings basically double as unofficial fan bases. In Monterrey, Casa Terra is about as close as it gets—roughly five minutes from the stadium, with space for groups and a full kitchen for pre-match fuel-ups. Over in Toronto, a one-bedroom condo in the Entertainment District puts you within walking distance of the CN Tower, Rogers Centre and nightlife, with a 20-minute commute to matches. And if you’re heading to the New York/New Jersey games, there’s even a stay in nearby Harrison that clocks in at about 20 minutes to Manhattan—close enough to feel in the action, far enough to (maybe) sleep.

Traveling with a crew? You can book a six-bedroom San Jose-area house with a massive backyard or a Dallas bungalow with four bedrooms, a hot tub and plenty of space to regroup between matches. In Fort Lauderdale, one standout listing turns things up a notch: a two-bedroom waterfront retreat designed like a “jungle-luxe” hideaway, complete with multiple courtyards and a private dock.

For those treating the World Cup as an excuse for a proper city break, there’s also no shortage of stylish urban options. A sleek condo near Wynwood Walls in Miami comes with a rooftop pool, while a Hoboken one-bedroom offers quick access to Manhattan without the Manhattan price tag. In Mexico City, a ninth-floor apartment along Avenida Amsterdam pairs floor-to-ceiling windows with walkable access to Roma Norte and Condesa (arguably the city’s best neighborhoods for eating and drinking your way through a long weekend).

And if you’re the type who needs a reset between matches, the nature-forward stays might be the move. Just outside Kansas City, a lakefront cabin sits on 200 acres with hiking trails, kayaks and a wood-burning fireplace, basically the antithesis to the stadium experience.

Bottom line: book now or prepare to get very flexible—because the closer we get to kickoff, the fewer good options will be left.
