If you’re enrolled in the Department of Homeland Security’s Global Entry program, you know that this Trusted Traveler option makes it a whole lot easier to get through customs when you arrive back in the U.S. from traveling abroad. Now, it’s even easier, and you only need to take a selfie.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection recently announced the launch of a new Global Entry app, available for free in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The app can be used by enrolled Global Entry members to complete the arrival process instead of waiting in line for one of the portals.

Here’s how it works: first, you take a selfie with the app. Your photo is then compared to a photo gallery to verify your identity through facial biometrics. Once the photo is submitted, you’ll receive a receipt on the app. When you reach the primary inspection area, skip the Global Entry portals and go directly to the CBP officers to process your entry with your mobile receipt.

“The new Global Entry mobile application leverages the latest technologies to enhance security while further improving the travel experience for CBP’s trusted travelers,” said CBP’s Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner Troy A. Miller in a statement.

The app is only available for use at seven airports right now—Seattle Tacoma International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, Miami International Airport, Orlando International Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, Pittsburgh International Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport—but there are plans to expand use of the app to other airports in the future.
