In "National Treasure," Nicolas Cage opens a secret compartment in the Resolute Desk to find a clue that ultimately leads to the Lost City of Gold. Maybe you won’t be that lucky, but you'll at least get a chance to replicate the moment (oh, and nearly 150 years of political decision making) with your own in-home Oval Office. That’s what comes with your purchase of this fabulous estate in Kirtland Hills, Ohio

As reported by Mansion Global, the 9,468-square-foot residence also comes with six bedrooms and is listed for a mere $1.675 million.

An aerial view of the home shows it is surrounded by lush woods, with a long driveway leading to it. It is brick with a gray roof.

With a touch of the zany, the playful residence has full-sized giraffe sculptures at the bottom of the grand staircase rubbing necks near a white piano, a “glamour bath” anchored by a Doric columned table, a wood-paneled elevator, a Juliet balcony overlooking the great room, a dollhouse in one of the bedrooms that otherwise looks quite adult – so by the time you get to the attic (where you'll find the oval office) you’re no longer surprised.

"The crown jewel of this estate is the one-of-a-kind oval office replica located on the third floor that was painstakingly crafted to be the ultimate work-from-home space," reads the home’s listing.

A very large bathroom has gray tiling, steps up to a bathtub, two skylights, and a table with a Doric column supporting the glass top.

This oval office replica has quite the story behind it. Owners Lou and Carolyn Fidanza have owned the home since 2020 and built the presidential surprise themselves over five years (Lou is an engineer and entrepreneur). They spent eight hours at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to take measurements and photos of that facility’s replica. However, President Ford used the Wilson desk rather than the Resolute which the Fidanzas have installed. The couple also performed research at the George W. Bush Presidential Library, although they modeled theirs on the Obama Oval Office, minus the light, striped wallpaper President Obama added.

If you do make this your permanent study, just know that your Zoom background might be hard to explain.
