Ski season has begun! As the snow starts to pile up, eager skiers and snowboarders are hitting the slopes. For those skiers who are heading to the mountains for a multi-day getaway, a number of factors—whether you’re solo, with family or looking for a good value—can determine which ski resort you choose. For a little assistance, holiday rental portal Holidu has analyzed Google searches to determine which ski resorts in the U.S. are the most popular this year.

Holidu extracted the average monthly Global Search Volume for more than 70 U.S. ski resorts in the last 12 months. After analyzing the data, they determined that Crystal Mountain Resort, near Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington, is the most popular ski resort in 2023. The resort garnered an average of 111,400 searches per month. It is Washington’s largest ski resort with 11 lifts and more than 50 runs covering more than 2,600 acres of terrain. It’s just two hours from Seattle and offers stunning views of Mt. Rainier on a clear day.

Rounding out the top five most popular ski resorts are Palisades Tahoe in CA, Copper Mountain in Colorado, Snowbird in Utah and Hunter Mountain in NY. Seven states feature resorts in the top ten, with Colorado (3 resorts) and Vermont (2 resorts) dominating at the top.
