Starbucks just dropped its fall 2025 lineup, and while the PSL is back, one flavor is suspiciously missing. The fact that Apple Crisp did not make a comeback has led to loud declarations of autumnal heartbreak.

Earlier this week, the chain announced the return of seasonal stars like the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai and the Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, plus a brand-new Pecan Oatmilk Cortado. But the Apple Crisp syrup—the base for the Apple Crisp Macchiato, Latte and Chai—is nowhere in sight.

Fans are not taking the news quietly. "Miss Apple Crisp was literally the only reason I was getting Starbucks the last few years," one Redditor wrote. Another chimed in, "My mental health was hanging on to the thought of my apple crisp whatever this fall." Over on Instagram, the PSL reveal post was flooded with comments that barely even mentioned pumpkin spice. Instead, the chorus was loud and clear: Bring back the apple.

"I'm genuinely heartbroken," one fan wrote. "Without Apple Crisp, there's no reason to go." Another went full caps-lock, shout-typing "WE DO NOT CARE. WE NEED APPLE CRISP."

For many, the apple drinks offered a welcome alternative to pumpkin overload. "Apple crisp shaken espresso was my jam. Never got anything else," said one customer. "This seriously ruined my whole mood for my favorite season."

It's not just grumbling, it's full-on outrage. TikTokers are calling for a boycott, comment sections are filled with threats ("You better return my Apple Crisp or else") and even foodie accounts are joining the protest. One commenter summed up the mood, saying "Not having Apple Crisp makes ZERO sense."

Starbucks hasn't responded to the backlash yet, but there's still time. The fall menu typically runs through early November, and fans are holding out hope for a midseason surprise. Until then, the only apple option is the baked apple croissant—"thanks for the crumb," as one user put it.

Pumpkin spice may be the reigning fall queen, but this year, the people have spoken: no Apple Crisp, no peace.
