While only about 40 to 50 percent of hotel space will reopen on July 1 (with the rest slated to reopen by November), multiple hotels have already begun offering reservations. The Punta Cana airport also announced that it has already confirmed the arrival of 10 flights by July 1.
The Bahamas is just the latest Caribbean island to announce its reopening planes: the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Lucia and Antigua are already open, Bermuda and the Bahamas will reopen on July 1 , Jamaica will reopen on July 15, and Turks and Caicos will reopen on July 22.
