Although Friends went off the air nearly 20 years ago, nostalgia still runs high for its depiction of six New Yorkers breezily visiting each other’s apartments and lingering over outsized cups of java at the Central Perk coffeehouse. Now, the chance to live that dream in the new millennium has come. Starting in early 2023, Central Perk Coffee Houses will be opening all over the US – and while you wait for that reality, you can start sampling the coffee, available online, as reported by People.

Right now you can purchase branded coffee in whole bean, ground or K-cup format in three different Friends-related roasts. The How You Doin’ roast, which harks to Joey’s trademark seduction line, is a medium bodied coffee with smooth acidity, says Central Perk’s website, with subtle hints of chocolate, lemon, blackberry and honey. The Pivot roast is a callback to Ross’s efforts to get his new sofa up the tight apartment building stairs by pivoting around the landing, and is a robust medium dark roast with a satiny smooth finish, with hints of cocoa, citrus and herbs. Finally, the

We Were On A Coffee Break refers to Ross’s defense of dating others during a relationship break with Rachel, and is a full-bodied, boldly acid dark roast with ‘nutty, smoky, dark chocolate’ and caramel notes.

Sad that there are no catchphrase blends from Phoebe, Rachel and Monica? Us too.

Tom Colicchio, another TV celebrity who entertained on Top Chef for many years, is a partner in Central Perk Holdings who says his favorite of the blends is Joey’s How You Doin’.

The coffees are $16.99 for a 12-count K-cup box or a 10 oz bag of whole or ground beans. If you join the monthly subscription club, you get discounts and free shipping—and the first 6,000 subscribers will get a free limited edition, numbered coffeecan branded for the How You Doin’ roast.

Now all we need to do is source a giant orange sofa.

Until Central Perk’s a reality, try these New York coffee shops we love.
